COCONUT CREEK, FL – Atlantic Technical College in Coconut Creek was named the top community college in Florida, according to the Niche rankings for 2023 Best Community Colleges in Florida.

The public college at 4700 Coconut Creek Parkway also was recognized as among the best community colleges in the nation – ranked eighth in the data website’s 2023 Best Community Colleges in America survey.

The college has an enrollment of 2,543 undergraduate students and has an acceptance rate of 100 percent, according to Niche.

Popular majors include licensed practical nurse training, HVAC and refrigeration engineering technician, and culinary arts and food service.

With a graduating rate of 63 percent, Atlantic Technical College alumni go on to earn a starting salary of $29,100, according to Niche.

To determine its college rankings, Niche combined data from the U.S. Department of Education, reviews and ratings from current students, alumni and parents, and other sources.

The college got an overall grade of A- from Niche based on academics, student life, value of the financial investment, and other factors.

North Florida College in Madison came in second in Niche’s 2023 Best Community Colleges in Florida ranking, with Florida Gateway College in Lake City coming in third and Pinellas Technical College – St. Petersburg coming in fourth.
