The Florida Department of Education released the Federal Graduation Rates for the 2024/25 school year. The overall results show that Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) graduation rate reached a historic high at 91.4% in 2025, up from 89% in 2024. This achievement represents an impressive 2.4 percentage point increase and marks the first time in at least 25 years that the District’s graduation rate has surpassed 90%.
The Federal Graduation Rate includes traditional high schools, centers and charter schools. The graduation rate for BCPS traditional high schools only (excluding centers and charter schools) increased to 97.5%, up from 96.2% the previous school year (2024).
Notable Highlights:
- All 36 traditional District high schools achieved a graduation rate of 90% or higher, and 31 of these schools reached a graduation rate at or above 95%.
- Seven District high schools achieved 100% graduation rates: Atlantic Technical High School, College Academy at Broward College, Lauderhill 6–12 STEM-MED, McFatter Technical High School, Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy, Pompano Beach High School and Sheridan Technical High School. College Academy at Broward College achieved a graduation rate of 100% for the 14th consecutive year.
- The graduation rate for English Language Learners increased by 5.3 percentage points to 84.6% in 2025, compared to the previous year. The graduation rate for Black or African American students also increased by 3.5 percentage points to 88.9% in 2025.
- Seven District high schools increased graduation rates by three or more percentage points in 2025 compared to 2024: Blanche Ely High School (5.6 percentage points), Coconut Creek High School (4.4 percentage points), Deerfield Beach High School (4.9 percentage points), Hollywood Hills High School (5.1 percentage points), J.P. Taravella High School (3.3 percentage points), McArthur High School (6.2 percentage points) and Plantation High School (5 percentage points).
