A Haitian immigrant with a profound love of her roots, Wilnar knows firsthand the disconnect between the immigrant community’s needs and available resources. Her determination to help immigrant families like her own is personal. She is grateful and credits her former Fort Lauderdale High School history teacher, Dr. Noel and his wife for helping make her dream of attending college at Florida A&M University a reality.  She founded her own law firm and now helps bridge the gap by providing pro bono legal help, serves on the Board of the Haitian Lawyers Association and the Legal Aid Society. Passionate about helping the younger generation, she developed a youth advancement program at her church, serves on the Board of the Broward Education Foundation and volunteers with Women of Tomorrow.
