Graduate of South Broward High School Curriculum Supervisor, Music and Performing Arts K-12, Broward County Public Schools

Joseph Luechauer

Broward Educational Faculty Hall Of Fame 2023 Winner

With formidable credentials in music education and supervision, Joseph has seen firsthand how students can be enriched by studying music, theater and fine arts. These students have higher graduation rates, score better on standardized tests and have much higher attendance levels. His love of music began with Madeline Stein, his first-grade music teacher, whose energy was infectious. At Olsen Middle School he learned the Baritone Horn, Trombone and String Bass and played in the All-State Band under the direction of Mr. Robert Raabe, a spark who led to his eventual career in music education. But it was high school, under the direction of Mr. Edward Parsons, that sealed the deal for Joseph to become a music educator. Thanks to his education within Broward County Public Schools, he was awarded a full university scholarship and graduated with honors.  Throughout his career, Joseph has tirelessly worked to provide robust and meaningful music and performing arts education for all grade levels.
